How do I reserve a cabin?

You may wish to have a look at our reservations page. The easiest and fastest way to reserve is to use our secure online reservations system.

The system, of course, is available 24/7. Alternatively, you can just give us a telephone call – a little old-fashioned but kind of nice – visit our Contact Page.

What about phone service?

There are no public phones on the property and the nearest pay phone is at 3 Valley Gap (8 km away).  There is cell coverage but not with all carriers. There is service with the following mobile networks: “Telus”, “Bell” and “Koodo”.  The “Rogers” network has recently started to offer service here according to many guests who are on that network. If you’re with some other carrier, you may wish to check their coverage map.

Telus, Bell, Koodoo and Rogers all claim to offer service within the nearby towns of Revelstoke and Sicamous.

What is your deposit policy?

All cabin bookings require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Your credit card will be charged immediately for this amount. Payment in full is due 30 days prior to check-in. Your credit card will be charged the remaining 50% at this time. If you book within 30 days of your arrival date, the full payment is due at the time of booking. What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel your reservation at any time after making the booking there is a $50 service fee. We have a 30 day cancellation policy. If you cancel your reservation with less than 30 days notice, the deposit and the final payment will be retained unless we are able to re-rent the cabin for the full period of your reservation, in which case any deposit or final payment will be refunded to you less the $50 service charge. What time can we check in and out?

Check in time is anytime between 3 and 8pm. You must make arrangements with us for a designated arrival time to allow for the gate to be opened. Check out time is anytime before 10 am. Please check out our Policies Page for complete policy information.

Are pets allowed?

No. Though we love cats and dogs, there are many people who don’t and so we are sorry – there are no pets allowed on the property (indoors or outdoors). No exceptions.

What do I need to bring?

The Monashee Cabin and Mackenzie Cabin are fully equipped with all bed, bath and kitchen linens as well as all dishware, cookware, cutlery plus toaster, coffee pot, electric kettle etc. Also provided are bathroom tissues, shampoo, shower gel and lotion plus garbage bags, paper towels and dish soap for the kitchen. You will need to bring your food, beverages and any other personal items and toiletries. Please note that you must also bring any spices, cooking oils and any other staples that you will be using to prepare your meals.

Where is the closest grocery store?

There are grocery stores in Revelstoke which is 27 km east and in Sicamous which is 45 km west.

Do the cabins have barbecues?

Yes, the Monashee Cabin and Mackenzie Cabin are equipped with barbecues on the decks.

Where can we dine if we choose not to prepare our own meals, or want a break from doing so?

There are many dining options in Revelstoke (27 km or 20 minutes east). From mid May to mid October Three Valley Lake Chateau(8km east or 5 minutes) provides dining services with restricted hours other than July and August when their restaurant is open until 8pm. To the west (10 minutes or 15km) there is 24 hour truck stop. There are no food services available on the property.

Is there a charge for parking?

No. There is plenty of free parking space.

How far is the lake from the cabins?

Our property is lakefront. The cabins are set back about 200′ (60 meters) from the waters edge.

Can we rent a canoe?

No need to rent –  each of our cabins has two canoes assigned to it for exclusive complimentary use. Please be aware that each adult must sign a waiver for themselves and any children under their care. View a copy of the waiver.

Do we need to wear a life jacket while in a canoe?

Yes. Before taking out any of the canoes, each adult must sign a waiver for themselves and one for any children under the age of 18. Our policy is that all guests, regardless of age and or swimming abilities must wear a life jacket.

Are life jackets provided?

Yes. We have an assortment of adult and child sized life jackets available for guest use.

Are there age restrictions for canoe use?

Yes. Children 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult while in canoes- no exceptions.

Is there fishing on Griffin Lake?

Fishing is allowed on Griffin Lake throughout angling season and at the mouth of the Eagle River after July 1st. There are mainly Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden. Check official regulations for detailed requirements. Guests must provide their own fishing gear and license.

Where can I do laundry?

We do not have a public laundry facility on site. There are public laundry facilities in Revelstoke(27 km) or in Sicamous(45 km).

How large are the cabins?

The Mackenzie cabin size: 16′ X 24′ (4.88m X 7.32m).

The Monashee cabin size: 20′ x 28′ (6.10m  8.53m) plus Sleeping Loft: 300 sq.ft. (29 sq.meters)

Storm’s Cabin size: 16′ X 16′ (4.8m X 4.8m)
